Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Neurosurgery (Outpatient)

Schedule
- Full-time, 35 hours/week
- Fully onsite (this is not a remote or hybrid role)
Compensation
- $135,000-$160,000 annually, based on experience
What You’ll Do
Provide comprehensive clinical care for pediatric patients with neurosurgical conditions:
- Perform comprehensive histories, physical exams, and formulate diagnoses and treatment plans
- Evaluate and manage pediatric patients with congenital, developmental, traumatic, vascular, tumor-related, hydrocephalus, spinal, and other neurological conditions
- Order, review, and interpret labs, diagnostic studies, and imaging with the attending neurosurgeon
- Assist with preoperative and postoperative management
- Provide clinical triage and respond to urgent patient and family concerns
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, surgery, and postoperative care
- Coordinate referrals, admissions, and transitions of care across settings
- Prescribe medications within scope of practice
- Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation
What You Bring
- Master’s degree in nursing (or equivalent in education, training, and experience)
- Active New York RN and NP licenses
- Prescriptive privileges or eligibility
- Minimum 2-4 years of nursing experience
- NP experience in pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric neurology, or pediatrics a plus
- Experience with complex pediatric neurological conditions and family education a plus
