About TopOneHire.

TopOneHire is an independent verticalized job board for four professional disciplines: finance, legal, healthcare, and engineering. The site is organized around the assumption that a credit analyst, a litigation associate, an ICU nurse, and a systems engineer don't share a job search. Each has its own talent market, its own comp norms, its own information sources — and each is poorly served by general-purpose boards that lump all of them into the same firehose of listings.

The premise: a verticalized board

For two decades the dominant job-board pattern in the United States has been the generalist aggregator — a single search box, hundreds of millions of listings, and an algorithmic ranking system optimized for click volume rather than relevance. The model serves entry-level and high-volume hiring well. It serves specialist talent poorly. A senior compliance officer at an asset manager and a corporate paralegal at a mid-size firm have almost nothing in common functionally, yet they read the same listing page, sorted by the same engagement signals, on the same generalist board.

TopOneHire bets the other direction. Each of our four verticals — Finance, Legal, Healthcare, Engineering — has its own hub, its own sub-sector taxonomy (~22 sub-sectors total), and its own editorial coverage. Listings are tagged at the sub-sector level so a buy-side equity analyst doesn't have to wade through accounts-payable openings to find their lane. Comp bands are disclosed when the underlying source provides them. The site is free for job seekers and stays that way.

The four sectors

  • Finance & Accounting — banking, buy-side, corporate finance, accounting, fintech, compliance & risk. The flagship edition.
  • Legal — Big Law, corporate, litigation, in-house counsel, compliance, paralegal.
  • Healthcare — nursing & clinical, physicians & NPs, allied health, healthcare admin, behavioral health, pharmacy & lab.
  • Engineering — civil & structural, mechanical, electrical, aerospace & defense, project management, specialty.

Roles outside the four core verticals (operations, sales, marketing, IT, property management, customer service, and other cross-industry positions) are surfaced under Other rather than being dropped. The headline counts on the homepage track only the core four; Other inventory is reachable but doesn't dilute the editorial premise.

Editorial: The Edge

The Edge is TopOneHire's weekly hiring commentary, published Mondays at 7 AM ET. The remit is narrow on purpose: hiring trends, compensation movements, partner moves on the legal side, buy-side seat dynamics, clinical staffing shortages, and regulatory inflection points that move the labor markets we cover. The editorial team writes for working practitioners — recruiters, hiring managers, senior individual contributors, and operators at the firms doing the hiring.

The publication is free, not gated, not affiliated with any firm whose openings appear on the board, and explicit about its sourcing: every article describes the recruiter desks, allocators, or sector operators it drew on. The Edge is a publication, not a roundup; pieces are reported and structured, not aggregated.

How listings get on the site

Two channels populate the listings inventory. Employers and recruiters across the four verticals post roles directly through our /employers/post flow — a moderated employer pipeline that requires a sector tag, a comp band where applicable, and a real hiring contact. Posted roles surface on the relevant vertical hub and sub-sector pages immediately upon moderation approval.

Listings also come from curated feed integrations with partner sources that publish in the industries we cover. These integrations broaden the inventory but pass through the same vertical/sub-sector tagging logic as direct posts — sector relevance is the gate, not source. Applications submitted through TopOneHire are forwarded directly to the hiring employer in both cases; the platform publishes the listing but does not screen, interview, or make hiring decisions.
