Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to support a busy accounting team with a variety of general accounting, month-end close, reconciliation, and financial reporting responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, and hands-on NetSuite experience. This position requires strong attention to detail, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and budget reforecasting
- Process monthly capitalization entries and assist with fixed asset creation, depreciation, and reconciliation
- Complete payroll and benefits reconciliations and related journal entries
- Perform bank and general ledger account reconciliations
- Enter monthly revenue billings and track accounts receivable activity
- Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements
- Support weekly accounts payable processing and reporting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records in accordance with GAAP and company policies
- Support internal and external audit activities as needed
- Partner with internal teams and external contacts to resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure timely transactions
- Assist with special accounting projects and other assignments as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
- NetSuite experience required
- Hands-on experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close
- Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting
- Fixed asset and depreciation experience preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas and functions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment
- Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential financial information
