Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9-hour day shifts
Compensation: $35–$50/hour based on experience
Retention Bonus: Up to $8,000 (paid in installments over 24 months)

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join their Surgical Services team. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive perioperative care while working alongside a collaborative team of surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and nursing professionals.

The OR Circulating RN will be responsible for supporting patients throughout the surgical experience, including preoperative preparation, intraoperative coordination, and postoperative recovery. This position plays an essential role in patient advocacy, surgical safety, care coordination, and ensuring a high-quality experience for every patient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preoperative assessments and verify patient information, procedures, consents, and surgical site requirements
  • Serve as the patient advocate throughout the surgical process
  • Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and nursing staff
  • Maintain compliance with surgical safety standards, including time-outs and Universal Protocol
  • Assist with patient positioning, specimen management, implants, medications, and documentation
  • Monitor sterile technique and promote a safe surgical environment
  • Complete accurate electronic medical record documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response activities
  • Provide postoperative monitoring and recovery support as needed

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse license
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Previous operating room/perioperative nursing experience preferred
  • PACU or post-anesthesia recovery experience a plus
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills

Required Certifications:

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS

Preferred:

  • CNOR certification
