Manufacturing & Process Engineer
Location: North Haven, CT
Compensation: $90,000-$100,000 Base Salary + 6% Annual Bonus
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site | Monday-Friday
About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Manufacturing & Process Engineer to join its engineering team. This individual will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing manufacturing processes, reducing equipment downtime, and supporting operational excellence throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects from concept through implementation.
- Partner with production and maintenance teams to improve efficiency, productivity, and equipment reliability.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen, A3, TPM, and 5S activities.
- Evaluate capital equipment investments through ROI and payback analysis.
- Coordinate equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, process instructions, and facility layouts.
- Interface with customers, vendors, quality, production, and leadership teams to resolve technical and operational challenges.
- Support predictive maintenance and data-driven process improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and process issues to identify and implement sustainable solutions.
- Provide technical support across engineering, quality, maintenance, procurement, and production functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- CAD experience required.
- Familiarity with quality systems and process optimization tools.
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
