      Position Overview

      We are partnering with a well-established, highly respected aerospace and precision manufacturing organization in Orange, CT, seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join its growing operations.

      This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Quality Engineer who enjoys working in a sophisticated manufacturing environment, solving complex quality challenges, and collaborating with engineering and production teams.

      The organization specializes in manufacturing complex, tight-tolerance components for demanding aerospace and industrial applications.

      The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in aerospace quality systems, precision CNC machining, GD&T, First Article Inspections, and continuous improvement.

      This individual will work closely with an established quality department consisting of approximately 14 professionals.

      Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure manufactured components meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable aerospace quality standards.

    • Support and maintain compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and internal quality management systems.

    • Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing documentation to verify product conformity.

    • Coordinate and support First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements.

    • Investigate nonconforming products, manufacturing defects, and process-related quality concerns.

    • Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and preventative improvement initiatives.

    • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Inspection, and Operations to resolve technical quality issues.

    • Support quality requirements associated with CNC machining, precision manufacturing, and complex machined components.

    • Review dimensional inspection results, CMM data, and quality documentation.

    • Participate in internal audits, customer quality reviews, and supplier quality activities.

    • Qualifications

    • Previous Quality Engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing.

    • Strong understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.

    • Experience supporting precision-machined components and CNC manufacturing operations.

    • Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements and documentation.

    • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.

    • Familiarity with dimensional inspection methods, CMM equipment, and precision measuring instruments.

    • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and nonconformance management.

    • Strong analytical, organizational, and technical problem-solving skills.

    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across manufacturing departments.

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, quality-focused manufacturing environment.

    • Preferred Experience

    • Aerospace engine components or other complex, tight-tolerance machined products.

    • Experience working with high-performance alloys such as Inconel, Waspaloy, or similar materials.

    • Familiarity with MRB processes and supplier quality management.

    • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Experience supporting customer audits and aerospace regulatory requirements.

    • Compensation & Benefits

    • Base Salary: $100,000–$105,000, depending on experience.

    • 3 Weeks Paid Vacation

    • 1 Week Paid Sick Time
