Soldering Technician
Location: Ellington, CT
Contract to Hire
Hours: Monday-Friday, 1st Shift 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Requirements:
- Soldering experience with electronic components, including flux, tinning, and proper temperature control.
- Ability to use a chemical agent to strip wire.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to use a multimeter.
- Strong hand dexterity and ability to work carefully with very small, detailed components.
- Ability to follow written work instructions, assembly prints, and wiring diagrams.
- Commitment to quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Reliable attendance.
- IPC certification or familiarity with electronic soldering standards is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Hand solder wires, terminals, connectors, circuit boards, and small electronic components.
- Assemble precision sensor and transducer products according to work instructions, prints, and quality standards.
- Inspect solder joints and completed assemblies for accuracy, workmanship, and defects.
- Use hand tools including soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, tweezers, and measuring tools.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Report assembly or soldering issues to supervision or quality personnel.
- Keep a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
- Assist with additional assembly, testing, inspection, and production duties as needed.
Pay Rate: $20/hr
