Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations
•Own the general ledger and maintain complete, accurate, and timely accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
•Perform daily bank reconciliations and promptly investigate and resolve discrepancies.
•Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoice processing, payment runs, customer application of receipts, vendor account maintenance, and aging reviews.
•Own customer invoicing and ensure invoices, credits, and supporting documentation are accurate and issued on time.
•Lead cash collection activities, monitor past-due balances, coordinate follow-up with customers and internal stakeholders, and escalate material collection risks.
•Execute and manage the month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, account analysis, financial statement preparation, and close

Finance, Budgeting
•Lead the annual budgeting process, including timeline management, assumptions, departmental input, consolidation, challenge, and presentation to leadership.
•Prepare forecasts, cash-flow projections, management reports, and financial analyses that support operating and strategic decisions.
•Perform controlling functions, including budget-to-actual analysis, variance analysis, cost-center reporting, margin analysis, working-capital monitoring, and follow-up on corrective actions.
•Develop and maintain practical financial controls, approval limits, and segregation-of-duties safeguards appropriate to the size of the organization.
•Monitor liquidity and banking activity and provide management with clear visibility into cash requirements and financial risks.

Payroll, Benefits & HR Administration
•Own payroll administration, including payroll preparation, review, processing, reconciliations, payroll-related reporting, and coordination with the payroll provider.
•Administer the company’s 401(k) plan, including employee enrollments and changes, contribution coordination, plan notices, reporting, testing support, audits, and liaison with the plan administrator and advisors.
•Lead benefits administration and management, including enrollments, life-event changes, renewals, employee communications, invoice review, vendor coordination, and issue resolution.

Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant professional certification preferred.
•Typically, 7 or more years of progressive experience across accounting and finance, with meaningful responsibility for payroll, benefits, or HR administration.
•Hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations, AR, AP, invoicing, collections, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and management reporting.
•Working knowledge of U.S. payroll, employee benefits, retirement-plan administration, tax coordination, and employment-related compliance.
•Experience managing external advisors and service providers and operating effectively in a lean or mid-sized organization.
•Proficiency with ERP or accounting systems, payroll and HR platforms, and Microsoft Excel; ability to learn and improve systems quickly.
