Family Law Paralegal
Location: Washington, DC
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM
Pay: $33-$41/hour
Summary
Seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to support a Family Law attorney in a fast-paced litigation practice. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, able to manage cases independently, and committed to providing excellent client service.
Responsibilities
- Support family law matters including divorce, custody, support, domestic violence, and post-judgment cases.
- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, legal correspondence, and other case documents.
- File court documents and ensure compliance with deadlines and court procedures.
- Manage calendars, court dates, mediation schedules, and case timelines.
- Communicate with clients and provide case updates.
- Review and organize financial and legal documents.
- Coordinate discovery, subpoenas, depositions, experts, hearings, and trial preparation.
- Maintain case files and assist with general case management.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Family Law Paralegal experience.
- Experience handling cases from intake through resolution.
- Knowledge of court filings, discovery, and litigation support.
- Strong drafting, proofreading, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication, professionalism, and client service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
- Washington, DC family law experience preferred.

You will be entitled to health insurance once employed for 60 days and you must work 30 hours per week, on average, per month to enroll and maintain health insurance through Complete Staffing Solutions.
