Responsibilities
We’re looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to own the company’s accounting operations and financial reporting. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a SaaS environment, understands the nuances of subscription revenue and B2B billing, and is excited to build scalable processes as we grow. You’ll partner closely with the COO, the VP of Finance, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure the numbers are accurate, timely, and actionable.
We’re looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to own the company’s accounting operations and financial reporting. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a SaaS environment, understands the nuances of subscription revenue and B2B billing, and is excited to build scalable processes as we grow. You’ll partner closely with the COO, the VP of Finance, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure the numbers are accurate, timely, and actionable.
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage revenue recognition for SaaS/subscription contracts in compliance with ASC 606, including multi-element arrangements and usage-based billing
- Maintain appropriate reconciliation schedules to support future audit deliverables
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, and payroll functions
- Manage the general ledger, and monthly account reconciliations
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reporting packages, and board-level materials
- Lead the annual audit process and serve as primary point of contact for external auditors and tax preparers
- Manage cash flow forecasting and treasury operations
- Ensure compliance with sales tax, franchise tax, and other multi-state/multi-jurisdiction filing requirements
- Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support due diligence, fundraising, and investor reporting as needed
- Ensure compliance with equity/stock option accounting (ASC 718) if applicable
- REQUIREMENTS
- BS Degree
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a senior accounting leadership role
- Experience in a B2B SaaS or software company strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, particularly ASC 606 revenue recognition for subscription/usage-based models
- Proven experience leading month-end/quarter-end close and managing external audits
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Strong people management skills
- Excellent communication skills and comfort presenting to leadership and the board
- Experience preparing for or supporting an M&A transaction, fundraise, or audit for institutional investors
