Seeking experienced Water and Wastewater Operations Technician to support onsite operations for a leading advanced manufacturing facility. The role involves operating and maintaining ultrapure water (UPW), ensuring reliable plant performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in water efficiency and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- ?Operate and monitor Ultrapure Water (UPW) production systems, including reverse osmosis (RO), UV disinfection, ion exchange, and advanced filtration systems
- ?Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on pumps, valves, instrumentation, membranes, and control systems
- ?Conduct routine water quality sampling and analysis, including parameters such as TOC, silica, metals, conductivity, and other critical process indicators using laboratory and online instrumentation
- ?Monitor system performance, respond to alarms, investigate process excursions, and implement corrective actions to maintain high system reliability and uptime
- ??Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures, including chemical handling protocols and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
- ???Execute startup, shutdown, and operational procedures for treatment systems and supporting infrastructure
- ???Support development and improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance documentation, and operational guidelines
- ??Maintain accurate operational logs, process data, and inventory records, including management of critical spare parts and consumables
- ??Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in plant performance, reliability, and water quality
- ??Safely handle and manage treatment chemicals and operate associated chemical feed and storage systems
- ?Interpret and follow technical documentation including P&IDs, process schematics, and equipment manuals
- ?Maintain organized work areas and adhere to 5S operational standards
- ?Support additional operational and maintenance activities as required to ensure reliable facility operations
Basic Qualifications
??????•?????High school diploma or equivalent
??????•?????Minimum 2 years of experience in a hands-on technical or industrial operations role, or an associate degree in a STEM-related field
Preferred Skills and Experience
??????•?????2+ years of experience operating UPW production systems or industrial wastewater treatment systems (semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing environments preferred)
??????•?????Strong understanding of water chemistry, ion exchange processes, RO systems, and water treatment technologies
??????•?????Experience with water quality instrumentation, process monitoring systems, and basic PLC troubleshooting
??????•?????Experience operating within industrial manufacturing or wet laboratory environments
??????•?????Ability to interpret P&IDs, instrumentation diagrams, and electrical schematics
??????•?????Experience with safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), job hazard analysis, and chemical safety procedures
??????•?????Experience handling hazardous, corrosive, or flammable chemicals
??????•?????Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical teams
??????•?????Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced operational environment
