Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Quality Manager to lead its Quality organization and oversee all aspects of Quality Control within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for ensuring products meet the highest customer, regulatory, and AS9100 quality standards while driving continuous improvement across the organization.
Reporting directly to the President, this individual will serve as the primary customer contact for all quality-related matters from New Product Introduction (NPI) through production and delivery.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Quality Department, including inspection, MRB, and Quality Control personnel.
  • Oversee quality throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) and production process.
  • Develop and maintain Quality Plans, First Article Inspections (FAIs), and technical inspection plans.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for all quality-related issues, complaints, and corrective actions.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyze quality trends, customer complaints, escapes, and near misses to drive continuous improvement.
  • Chair daily Material Review Board (MRB) meetings and serve as the site’s Chief Inspector.
  • Maintain and improve Quality Management Systems while ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO, and NADCAP requirements.
  • Prepare quality reports, support internal and external audits, and communicate quality performance to leadership.
  • Partner with suppliers to ensure purchased materials meet quality standards.
  • Champion a culture of quality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
  • 7–10 years of Quality Management or Quality Engineering leadership experience in manufacturing.
  • AS9100 aerospace quality experience is required.
  • Experience maintaining ISO, AS9100, and NADCAP compliance.
  • Strong background working directly with customers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Experience leading audits, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and quality inspection methodologies.
  • Previous experience within plastic injection molding or composite manufacturing is highly preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
