Quality Compliance & Systems Manager

Providence Area, RI — On-site position in Bristol County
$85,000 to $110,000 depending on experience,

Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Compliance & Systems Manager to oversee and continuously improve its Quality Management System (QMS) while ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP, customer, and regulatory requirements.
This highly visible role serves as the Quality Management Representative (QMR) and is responsible for maintaining audit readiness, leading customer and certification audits, managing quality documentation, supporting CMMC readiness initiatives, and driving continuous improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Quality Management Representative (QMR) for AS9100 and ISO 9001.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Lead preparation for customer, certification, NADCAP, and regulatory audits.
  • Manage internal audit programs, risk-based audit schedules, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate customer surveys, compliance questionnaires, and supplier validation activities.
  • Support CMMC readiness through documentation management, evidence collection, and compliance tracking.
  • Conduct gap assessments and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor quality metrics and prepare management review reports.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, IT, and Compliance to ensure quality system effectiveness.
  • Champion continuous improvement and promote a culture of quality and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related technical field preferred.
  • 5–10 years of Quality Management Systems experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems.
  • Experience leading customer, certification, and third-party audits.
  • NADCAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of CMMC, NIST 800-171, or other compliance frameworks is a plus.Internal or Lead Auditor certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, risk management, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Quality Management System software.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Education, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Five to ten years of experience supporting or managing Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated AS9100 and ISO 9001 experience required.
  • Experience supporting customer audits, third-party certification audits, and corrective-action processes required.
  • NADCAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CMMC, NIST 800-171, customer cybersecurity requirements, or related compliance frameworks preferred.
  • Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of risk-based thinking, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous-improvement methods.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Quality Management System tools.
  • Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Pay Statement and Pay Transparency Laws: rate of pay listed is on a per hour basis.
