Medical Assistant

Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 8:00a – 5:00p
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for exams and assist physicians and mid-level practitioners with procedures
- Take and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration) and document an accurate chief complaint and brief medical history
- Administer treatments and injectable medications under the direction of an onsite practitioner and manage immunizations and maintain up-to-date immunization records
- Coordinate patient appointments and schedule referrals for diagnostic tests and specialized treatments with appropriate physicians
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) in a timely manner
- Sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to safety protocols
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and staff, ensuring every patient is treated with dignity, professionalism, and respect
Qualifications:
- Medical Assisting experience (1+ year)
- EMR experience (Athena preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
Compensation:
- $20-22/hr
