Pay: $23 – $25/hour+ depending on experience
Job description:

A growing paper manufacturing company in Brentwood is seeking an Industrial Electrician to join their production team!

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshoots and repairs issues with systems such as hot melt glue systems, printers, wrappers, rewinders, folders, casepackers, etc.
  • Removes, rebuilds and replaces major modules such as cutting dies, conveyor belts, drive belts, gear boxes, shafts, and bearings, perf and slitter blades, etc. Overhauls machine and participates in preventative maintenance activities.
  • Participate in machine down days and machine trials. Based on extensive experience of the machine processes and controls systems, making critical decisions to proactively avoid downtime, quality, scrap, and safety problems.
  • Responsible for completing all machine changeovers. Makes machine adjustments to ensure acceptable product quality.
  • Keeps all mechanical components of machines in clean and good working order. Repairs and reports all mechanical problems in emaint system and attaches any relevant parts that were used. Reports problems that can’t be solved immediately to maintenance and production managers.
  • Making complex program modifications in PLC’s logic, HMI’s programs and servo controller logic to improve equipment performance. Working also with Controls Engineers to implement changes on DCS system. Both of these may also require significant changes to the control equipment and wiring on the machines.
  • Complete assigned work orders. Enter work orders and data into the computerized maintenance systems. Share data and information to other team members

Basic Qualifications Include:

  • Must be self-directed, highly motivated, safety conscious and team oriented.
  • Must have excellent communications and analytical skills
  • Must have 5 years’ experience in industrial controls maintenance environment.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of electrical theory & principles of operation & instrumentation skills that include working with PLC based hardware and software.
  • Must be willing to cross train in other maintenance disciplines.
  • Must have experience in preventive and predictive techniques.
  • Must be able to work in and around extreme temperatures, able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist and reach above shoulder level. Able to occasionally lift up to 50# and operate power industrial trucks.
