Eyelet Toolmaker
Location: Waterbury, CT
Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Pay: $33.02 – $40.38 per hour
Job summary
A growing eyelet manufacturer in Waterbury, CT, is seeking an experienced Eyelet Toolmaker to build, maintain, and improve deep-draw transfer press tooling. This role works closely with engineering and helps train apprentice and less-experienced toolmakers.
Responsibilities
Build and develop new deep-draw transfer press tooling with limited supervision.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing transfer press tools.
Work directly with engineering on new jobs and improvements to existing jobs.
Mentor and train apprentice and less-experienced toolmakers.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
State-certified apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of experience as a deep-draw eyelet toolmaker.
Working knowledge of toolroom equipment and heat treating tool steels.
Experience with measuring instruments and precision optical measuring equipment.
Strong tooling troubleshooting and development skills.
