Plating Technician – 1st Shift
A growing Metal Finisher is seeking a detail-oriented Plating Technician to support aerospace metal-finishing operations at its West Hartford, Connecticut facility. This is a hands-on production role in an FAA-regulated environment, ideal for candidates with plating, chemical processing, manufacturing, finishing, or quality-focused production experience.
Pay: $21.00–$30.00+ per hour, based on experience

What You’ll Do
Set up, operate, and monitor electroplating and metal-finishing processes.
Prepare aerospace components for plating, coating, masking, cleaning, stripping, or related finishing operations.
Follow work orders, process instructions, specifications, and established standard operating procedures.
Load, rack, un-rack, handle, and protect customer parts throughout the finishing process.
Monitor processing times, chemical baths, temperatures, and production requirements as directed.
Perform visual inspections to identify cosmetic defects, handling damage, incomplete processing, or other quality issues.
Accurately complete production paperwork, travelers, work orders, and process documentation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area.
Safely handle chemicals and use required personal protective equipment.
Work closely with production, quality, and supervision to ensure parts meet aerospace and customer requirements.
Follow all FAA, company, environmental, health, safety, and quality-system requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in electroplating, chrome plating, anodizing, chemical processing, metal finishing, coating, paint, manufacturing, or similar production work preferred.
Aerospace, FAA-regulated, ISO, AS9100, or quality-controlled manufacturing experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision components.
Ability to read and follow work instructions, travelers, job routers, and written procedures.
Comfortable working around chemical processing equipment while following established safety practices.
Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift, move, and handle production materials as needed.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
