Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Waterbury, CT
Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Pay: $28.61 – $35.00 per hour
Job summary
A growing eyelet manufacturer in Waterbury, CT, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair production equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing maintenance experience and can machine replacement parts, weld, and troubleshoot mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain production equipment, auxiliary machinery, and related systems.
- Disassemble equipment, diagnose mechanical issues, and complete repairs.
- Make pneumatic and hydraulic connections as needed.
- Assist with startup of new, modified, or repaired production equipment.
- Perform general repairs to building systems and auxiliary equipment, including air, gas, and water systems.
- Work with toolmakers to resolve equipment repair issues.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment required; experience in an eyelet manufacturing facility preferred.
- Machining experience, including the ability to fabricate parts using lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders.
- Welding ability.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
