Warehouse Porter
Location: Scotia, NY
Pay: $20/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking dependable Warehouse Associates / Warehouse Cleaners to support general warehouse operations in Scotia, NY. The primary focus of this position will be maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse. Candidates who demonstrate strong performance and have previous warehouse experience may also have the opportunity to assist with shipping, receiving, and other warehouse duties.
Responsibilities
- Sweep and clean warehouse floors and work areas
- Pick up and dispose of shrink wrap, cardboard, broken pallets, and other warehouse debris
- Keep aisles, workstations, and storage areas clean and organized
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
- Candidates with relevant experience may assist with shipping and receiving
- Help maintain an efficient and safe working environment
- Remain on shift until daily work is completed; overtime may be required
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus but not required for the cleaning responsibilities
- Shipping and receiving experience is a plus
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Comfortable working in an active warehouse environment
- Willing and able to perform physical cleaning and general labor duties
- Must have work boots or steel-toed shoes; boots are not required to be steel-toed
- Must be willing and able to work overtime when necessary
