Facilities Maintenance Technician
New Haven, CT | Full-Time | $24–$27/hour DOE
We are seeking two Facilities Maintenance Technicians to join our team! This position is based in New Haven and will provide maintenance support across multiple properties throughout Connecticut, with the greatest concentration of work in New Haven and Middletown.
Schedule & Compensation
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with some flexibility
- $24–$27/hour, depending on experience and skills
- Overtime after 40 hours
- On-call rotation approximately once every 4–5 weeks
- Mileage reimbursement for emergency/on-call travel
- Company vehicles available for use at designated locations
Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC
- Maintain and repair building mechanical systems, security systems, and fire alarm systems
- Handle work orders and maintenance requests across agency properties
- Assist with facility renovations and projects involving multiple building trades
- Address building exterior maintenance needs
- Monitor and address building code and safety issues
- Assist with required inspections, including elevators, sprinklers, fire panels, fire extinguishers, boilers, health inspections, and backflow devices
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for staff, clients, and visitors
- Travel to agency locations throughout Connecticut as needed
- Maintain accurate communication and documentation regarding work completed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of relevant experience, OR
- Some college/post-secondary education with 1 year of relevant experience, OR
- Associate Degree with no required experience
- General facilities or building maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of multiple building trades preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and operate tools/equipment. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and travel between properties.

You will be entitled to health insurance once employed for 60 days and you must work 30 hours per week, on average, per month to enroll and maintain health insurance through Complete Staffing Solutions.
