Maintenance Technician
Pay: $26–$30/hour + overtime when on-call
Schedule: 40 hours/week + rotating after-hours on-call (about every 6 weeks)
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Status: Full-time, non-exempt
Responsibilities
- Complete repairs and maintenance for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and building systems
- Repair doors, windows, locks, fences, railings, patios, roofing, gutters, lighting, and other property components
- Perform basic carpentry, drywall, painting, janitorial, and grounds work
- Prepare apartments for new residents
- Complete work orders, inspections, and maintenance reports using company technology
- Follow safety procedures and report emergencies or hazards
- Work with vendors and other maintenance staff
Requirements
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Able to perform physical work, including bending, climbing, pushing, and lifting
- Lift 25–75 lbs regularly and heavier items with assistance
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Able to travel between properties locally
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
