Position: Sr. Investment Developer
Location- Hartford, CT- NYC- or Remote
Salary-$140,000
Core technical skills
- 5–8+ years of Visual Basic (VB6/VB.NET) experience.
- 6–10+ years of C# experience.
- 5–10+ years of relevant, hands-on experience with responsibilities including designing, developing, and optimizing complex T-SQL and stored procedures.
- 2–4 years of code asset management, ideally with AWS Code Commit
- 5–8+ years with Crystal Reports is a nice-to-have.
Domain and system context
- Must have exposure to financial/investment data structures — general ledger logic, investment accounting, or portfolio/position data.
- Comfort maintaining and slowly modernizing legacy VB/Crystal Reports systems while contributing new C# development.
- Demonstrated data validation and reconciliation instincts
Cross-functional and leadership skills
- Ability to gather reporting requirements directly from business stakeholders
- Code review and mentorship – perform code review and provide technical guidance to other developers
- Communication skills bridging technical and non-technical audiences
