Dryer Operator
Pay: $20/hr
Schedule: Monday – Thursday 2:00pm – 12:00am
Location: Bristol, CT
Reports to: Production Manager

Summary
The Dryer Operator safely, correctly, and efficiently assists in the plating process following procedures, while providing technical support to the Line Operator. This position is responsible for learning and applying various methods of drying parts and supporting the successful operation of the plating line.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
0–2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous experience handling chemicals preferred
Anodizing experience a plus
Ability to follow written and verbal directions
Strong attention to detail and sensitivity to the nature of the position
Familiarity with processing different substrates on a production line preferred
Familiarity with stripping procedures for applicable processes preferred
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 100 lbs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by properly handling chemicals
Monitor equipment condition and recommend repairs or replacements as necessary
Move parts between various locations on the line
Complete work order tickets, daily line logs, customer part riders, and related paperwork accurately
Identify and implement improvements to process steps, fixtures, or the handling of customer parts
Read and follow instructions on printed work orders
Determine and select the proper drying technique (air, rack, spin, bake, etc.)
Ensure customer parts are processed in accordance with work order specifications
Adhere to quality control standards, including thickness, color, brightness, and coverage
Perform tasks according to a scheduled and predefined priority list
Make chemical additions and perform required chemical maintenance (changing filters, adding anodes, cleaning horns and saddles)
Bake work when required, within customer requirements
Deliver acceptable product from the process line and promptly inform the Line Operator of any issues with finished product
Comply with requirements of the safety committee, EHS department, and company standards
Perform other duties as assigned
