Supply Chain Manager

About the Opportunity
Our client is a growing manufacturer of custom HVAC and industrial equipment seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead sourcing, planning, inventory strategy, and supplier performance across a multi-site manufacturing operation.
This is a highly visible leadership role with a clear path to Director of Supply Chain within the next 18–36 months. You’ll work closely with executive leadership to build scalable supply chain processes, strengthen supplier partnerships, and support continued company growth.
What You’ll Do
Supply Chain Strategy
- Develop sourcing strategies across key commodities including sheet metal, motors, coils, fans, controls, electrical components, and fabricated parts.
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships while identifying and qualifying secondary suppliers to reduce risk.
- Lead supplier performance reviews, scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Planning & Inventory
- Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align demand, production capacity, purchasing, and inventory.
- Develop inventory strategies including safety stock, reorder points, and inventory optimization.
- Improve inventory turns, on-time delivery, and overall supply chain performance.
Procurement & Logistics
- Provide leadership and direction to purchasing and planning teams.
- Lead major supplier negotiations and manage strategic OEM relationships.
- Oversee inbound logistics, freight strategy, carrier performance, and material flow across multiple facilities.
ERP & Process Improvement
- Own supply chain data and planning processes within the ERP system (Epicor preferred).
- Maintain accurate item masters, supplier records, lead times, BOMs, and MRP parameters.
- Develop KPI dashboards to track supplier performance, inventory, purchasing, and operational metrics.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, Finance, and Quality to support production schedules, new product launches, and customer commitments.
- Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team while driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of supply chain, purchasing, or operations leadership experience in HVAC, mechanical equipment, industrial manufacturing, or a related industry.
- 5+ years managing purchasing, planning, logistics, or supply chain teams.
- Strong experience leading S&OP and demand planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven success improving inventory performance, supplier reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Experience negotiating with strategic suppliers and developing long-term sourcing strategies.
- ERP/MRP experience required; Epicor experience strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and leadership skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- APICS (CPIM/CSCP), CPSM, Lean, Six Sigma, or MBA are a plus.

- HVAC, air handling, precision cooling, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
- Multi-site manufacturing operations.
- ERP implementation or system upgrades.
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience supporting rapid company growth or facility expansion.
