Clinic hiring for front desk receptionist
Schedule: Mon-Friday 8am-5pm (1 hour lunch), Wednesdays are 10am-7pm
Type: contract to potential hire
Medical Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Performs day-to-day administrative functions and general office duties, including but not limited to answering phones, obtaining/updating registration information, managing emails and inquiries promptly, and assisting patients with their queries or directing them to the appropriate department.
- Assist with administrative tasks
- Schedule and manage appointments for patients
- Open emails and packages and sort them appropriately.
- Verify patient information and insurance details accurately during registration and update patient records as necessary.
- Collect co-payments, process payments, and issue receipts, ensuring
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the reception area, including waiting rooms and front desk.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow and minimize waiting times.
Medical Receptionist Requirements:
- Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Athena EMR highly preferred
