This role will be responsible for supporting payroll processes timely and accurately, while assisting with some human resources administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with onboarding processes.
- Process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
- Verify timecards, wage increases and ensure these are entered timely.
- Reconcile payroll reports, deductions and benefits contributions.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain and update employee records, files, and databases in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes and respond to benefit questions.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, and training logistics.
- Help prepare reports, memos, and presentations related to HR activities.
- Complete verification of employment requests in writing or over the phone as needed.
- Assist with external audits as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in an administrative, human resources or payroll role.
- Experience with E-Verify highly desirable.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS systems preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
