Job Functions
- Predictive Budgeting: Collaborate with practice group leaders to develop models that forecast matter costs and annual budgets with high precision.
- Operational Scripting: Utilize Python and R to automate the collection and analysis of multiple types of data, helping the Firm identify cost-saving opportunities, efficiency gains, and ways to enhance work product.
- AI-Driven Insights: Design and implement analytical tools to enhance a variety of operational issues and processes, including detection of spending patterns and budget variances, and providing proactive feedback to partners and internal team.
- Strategic Reporting: Translate technical findings into clear, actionable reports and dashboards that help Firm leadership make informed business decisions.
- Independent Project Management: Act as a proactive partner to the finance and legal teams, identifying areas where data can solve business challenges without needing constant oversight.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in data science, including advanced statistical modeling and complex data analysis. Experience working with financial data is preferred, and prior exposure to a professional services environment is a plus.
- Proficiency in Python and R, with demonstrated ability to apply these tools to solve business challenges, develop analytical models, and automate repetitive processes.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and the ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Practical experience working with AI platforms and tools.
- Proven track record of leading end-to-end solution delivery, including problem identification, solution design, implementation, and deployment, with measurable business impact and ongoing optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, showing initiative, curiosity, and ownership in exploring data and developing innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and persuasively present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and foster collaboration across teams.
