Position Summary
An established, rapidly scaling global technology manufacturing firm is seeking an analytically driven Senior Finance Manager / Associate Director of FP&A. This pivotal role serves as the primary financial liaison to plant operations, global supply chain, and advanced engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a complex, precision-manufacturing environment, balancing high-level corporate strategic planning with hands-on cost accounting, operational forecasting, and cross-functional business partnership.

Core Requirements

  • Professional Experience: 8+ years of progressive advancement within corporate finance, plant finance, or operational manufacturing environments.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in Mandarin (both spoken and written) is highly preferred.
  • Technical Domain: Strong expertise in standard costing, inventory valuation, cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) analysis, and gross margin optimization.
  • Industry Background: Experience working within an FDA-regulated, high-compliance, or highly sophisticated engineering/manufacturing sector (e.g., medical technology, advanced systems, or specialized life sciences instrumentation).
  • Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in a financial or quantitative discipline. Advanced qualifications such as an MBA, CPA, CMA, or CFA are distinct advantages.

Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Planning & Advisory

  • Orchestrate the annual budgeting cycle, long-term strategic forecasting, and rolling operational models for corporate and manufacturing business units.
  • Design and maintain sophisticated financial models to project revenue trajectories, capital allocations, cash flows, and margin structures.
  • Translate complex financial datasets into actionable business intelligence, delivering clear, executive-ready performance reviews for senior leadership.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of strategic business cases, including capacity expansions, automation investments, and make-versus-buy scenarios.

Plant Operations & Supply Chain Finance

  • Partner directly with operations leadership to analyze plant-level metrics, including labor efficiency, overhead absorption, scrap rates, and asset utilization.
  • Oversee inventory health, tracking excess and obsolete (E&O) exposure, material variances, and working capital efficiency.
  • Collaborate with procurement and global sourcing teams to monitor supplier cost trends, inflationary pressures, and purchasing variances.
  • Support the financial tracking and lifecycle management of new product introductions (NPI) and engineering initiatives.

Process Excellence & Team Development

  • Spearhead process improvements to enhance forecasting accuracy, streamline reporting timelines, and institutionalize financial discipline across non-finance departments.
  • Assist in the scaling, optimization, or integration of enterprise-level ERP platforms and specialized business intelligence planning tools.
  • Coordinate closely with corporate accounting teams to ensure flawless alignment between actual monthly performance and ongoing management forecasts.
  • Provide mentorship, leadership, and professional development to FP&A team members (structured based on final organizational placement).
