A highly respected organization in the Greater Hartford area is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join its HR leadership team. This is a strategic HR role supporting leadership across multiple business lines while driving employee engagement, organizational development, workforce planning, talent management, and employee relations initiatives.

This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and play a key role in aligning HR strategy with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership teams to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, talent development, engagement, and workforce planning
  • Lead and support investigations, coaching conversations, corrective actions, and change management initiatives
  • Analyze HR metrics and workforce trends to drive informed business decisions
  • Support succession planning, talent reviews, and employee development initiatives
  • Partner cross-functionally with HR Centers of Excellence to implement programs and improve organizational effectiveness
  • Assist leadership with retention strategies, employee engagement initiatives, and organizational design
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, HR policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in strategic planning discussions and help implement people-focused initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required
  • 5–10+ years of progressive HR experience within an HR Generalist, Employee Relations, or HRBP capacity
  • Strong experience partnering directly with leadership teams
  • Experience handling employee relations investigations and performance management matters
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence and drive change
  • Healthcare, education, or complex organizational experience highly preferred
  • Experience interpreting workforce analytics and HR metrics preferred
  • Advanced degree and/or Six Sigma certification a plus
