Medical Assistant, Orthopedics ($28/hour)

Orthopedic clinic hiring for medical assistant
Type: temp to potential hire
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30AM – 5:00PM, overtime offered

Requirements: 

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as Medical Assistant
• Experience in outpatient ambulatory clinic
• Wound care, suture/staple removal experience highly preferred 
• BLS Certification required 
• Experience using Epic EMR system is required

Responsibilities:

• Room patients, document patient medical history
• Measure and record vital signs
• Perform phlebotomy as needed
• Prepare patient for examination
• Assist with treatments, examinations, procedures
• Assist with wound care and suture/staple removals
• Assist providers with orthopedic procedures
• Maintain and prepare exam rooms
• Monitors prescription refill process
• Monitors room and provider flow
• Complete patient check-in and check-out
• Schedule patient appointments
• Handle and update patient records in Epic EMR system
