We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining complex HVAC systems across various property types, ensuring optimal indoor air quality and climate control. Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults within mechanical and electrical components.
Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems and ensure proper operation of associated piping.
Maintain compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants responsibly and performing necessary certifications.
Repair mechanical systems such as pumps, motors, welders, and other equipment integral to HVAC operations.
Perform routine inspections of mechanical systems to identify potential issues proactively.
Assist in designing HVAC solutions tailored to specific property requirements by applying HVAC design principles.
Use welding techniques for equipment repair or fabrication when necessary.
Support property maintenance activities by ensuring HVAC systems operate efficiently and reliably.
Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely for transportation of equipment or parts as needed.
Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving ammonia refrigeration or other specialized systems.
Document service activities thoroughly for maintenance records and compliance purposes.
Experience
Candidates should possess a minimum of three years of experience in the HVAC field with demonstrated expertise in service technician roles. Prior construction experience is advantageous for understanding installation processes within new or renovated properties. Experience with schematics reading, HVAC design concepts, plumbing, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and mechanical repairs is essential. Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS), HVAC/R technologies, boiler operation, appliance repair, property maintenance tasks, and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters will be highly valued. Certification in EPA refrigerant handling is required. Mechanical knowledge spanning various mechanical systems repair—such as pumps, motors, welders—and experience with field service operations will ensure success in this role. A valid driver’s license suitable for operating company vehicles is mandatory.
