Ophthalmology Technician
6 Month Contract
New Haven, CT
Hours:
- Monday – Friday 9:00a – 5:30p
Responsibilities:
- Conducts comprehensive preliminary screening examinations, reviewing patient charts and physician notes to determine appropriate testing methods and diagnostic procedures
- Performs specialized diagnostic testing, clinical photography, and digital imaging to assist physicians in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Operates, maintains, and calibrates specialized ophthalmology equipment, performing quality control checks, managing supply inventory, and coordinating equipment repairs
- Provides patient education on testing procedures, ensures safe patient mobility and positioning, and addresses patient inquiries regarding clinical exams
- Records and interprets test results, identifies clinical abnormalities, and accurately documents patient data and medical records
- Handles administrative duties, including scheduling appointments, managing financial and billing paperwork, and ordering clinical supplies
Qualifications:
- Ophthalmology office experience
- COA certification preferred
- Imaging and refraction experience
Compensation:
- $34.77/hr

You will be entitled to health insurance once employed for 60 days and you must work 30 hours per week, on average, per month to enroll and maintain health insurance through Complete Staffing Solutions.
