Position: Help Desk Technician
Location- Kessington, Indiana (On site)
Salary-$50,000-$60,000
Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m
We are seeking a Junior IT Help Desk Technician to provide on-site IT support at our Kessington, Indiana manufacturing facility. This position will serve as the primary local IT resource for day-to-day technical issues and will report directly to the Corporate IT Director.
The technician will support employees, workstations, manufacturing-related computer systems, printers, network connectivity, Microsoft 365, and other business applications while coordinating with corporate IT on larger projects, cybersecurity, and infrastructure changes.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide on-site Level 1 and basic Level 2 technical support.
Troubleshoot Windows PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.
Assist users with Microsoft 365, email, Teams, passwords, and MFA.
Set up and deploy new computers and user equipment.
Assist with software installation, patching, antivirus, and endpoint security.
Troubleshoot basic wired and wireless network connectivity issues.
Maintain IT equipment and inventory records.
Support manufacturing-floor computers and shared workstations.
Work with corporate IT and outside vendors when escalation is required.
Follow company cybersecurity, access-control, and IT policies.
Document support requests and resolutions through the company help desk system.
Assist corporate IT with technology upgrades and projects at the Kessington facility.
IT Support Transition
This position is part of our effort to establish consistent in-house IT support across our companies. Once the on-site technician is fully established, IT support is transitioning support from an outside IT provider to an internal on-site resource.
Preferred Qualifications
1–2 years of IT support experience or equivalent technical education is preferred. Candidates should have a basic understanding of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, computer hardware, and troubleshooting.
Strong communication and customer-service skills are important, along with the ability to work independently, interact professionally with employees at all levels, and learn the technology used within a manufacturing environment.
Interview Process
The interview process will include:
A virtual interview with the Corporate IT Director.
An on-site interview with key Kessington personnel.
Final consideration will include both technical suitability and how well the candidate fits with the Kessington team and work environment.
This is an on-site position at the Kessington, Indiana facility designed to improve response times, provide employees with dependable local IT support, and integrate Kessington more closely with the company’s centralized IT operations.
