On-Call Maintenance Technician / Handyman – Berkshires
We are looking for an experienced handyman/maintenance professional to provide on-call and emergency maintenance support for 3 residential properties in the Berkshires.
This is a permanent, part-time/on-call position and would be a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent side work without committing to a full-time schedule.
Pay is $25/hour
Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency and after-hours maintenance calls
- Handle basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance, and general building repairs
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and make necessary repairs
- Provide coverage when the primary maintenance staff is unavailable
- Communicate professionally with residents and property management
Requirements:
- Strong handyman or property maintenance experience
- Ability to troubleshoot and handle a variety of basic repairs
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Comfortable responding to calls at night and during emergencies
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Must be comfortable with winter driving, snow, and traveling between properties
Ideal Location: Pittsfield or north of Pittsfield to provide reasonable access to all three properties
