Women’s Health RN Responsibilities:
RN Appointments:
- Urine and STD testing
- Prenatal Orientation and other education visits during the pregnancy
- Injection/Vaccine Visits
Provider Support task
- Patient calls and in-baskets
- FMLA forms
- Medications for visits
Triage Calls
- Through in-baskets
Pay: $40 – 46/hr
Schedule: Mon – Fri —- 8:30a – 5:00p
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to individuals and families within a community healthcare setting. The RN works collaboratively with providers and the healthcare team to assess patient needs, coordinate care, provide education, and promote positive health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments, monitor health status, and identify changes requiring intervention or provider follow-up.
- Administer medications, treatments, injections, and other nursing interventions in accordance with established protocols.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, preventive care, chronic disease management, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Coordinate patient care with physicians, APRNs, medical assistants, behavioral health professionals, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Document patient encounters, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Assist with care coordination, follow-up, referrals, and closing gaps in preventive and chronic healthcare.
- Provide telephone/triage support and respond appropriately to patient questions and clinical concerns.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies, nursing standards, infection-control procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous clinical nursing experience preferred; experience in primary care, community health, ambulatory care, pediatrics, women’s health, or other outpatient settings is a plus.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, organization, and patient-education skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Commitment to providing culturally responsive, compassionate care to diverse and underserved patient populations.
