Staff Accountant/AR – Hybrid in Massachusetts

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant/AR to support revenue accounting, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. This role will partner with operational and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage revenue and accounts receivable general ledger accounts and monthly reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Reconcile billing, cash receipts, and supporting records to the general ledger.
- Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and reconciling items.
- Review aging reports, outstanding balances, and account activity to identify trends and risks.
- Assist with financial reporting, audit requests, and process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain documentation and support adherence to accounting policies and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of accounting, accounts receivable, billing, or financial reconciliation experience.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
- Experience with ERP or enterprise accounting systems preferred.
- MS Dynamics GP preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
