Business Systems Analyst
Location: Bristol, PA
Schedule: Full-time, On-site
Compensation: $90,000–$120,000 base salary, plus bonus
Position Overview
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of a new Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who understands both manufacturing operations and business applications. The Business Systems Analyst will work closely with IT, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and other business teams to support system implementation, user adoption, data integrity, reporting, troubleshooting, and ongoing process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation, go-live, stabilization, and ongoing administration of a new MES platform.
- Partner with manufacturing and business teams to understand workflows and translate needs into system requirements, reports, training, and process improvements.
- Support manufacturing processes including production reporting, inventory, BOMs, routings, purchasing, receiving, shipping, quality, and traceability.
- Troubleshoot system, data, process, configuration, access, integration, and user-support issues.
- Maintain master data including parts, BOMs, routings, work centers, inventory locations, suppliers, customers, and user roles.
- Assist with system testing, enhancements, upgrades, data validation, imports/exports, and documentation.
- Develop and support reporting, data extracts, dashboards, and operational analysis.
- Train users and create clear work instructions, process documentation, and support materials.
- Support shop-floor technology including scanners, label printers, production workstations, and related applications.
- Coordinate with internal IT resources, business leaders, vendors, and implementation partners as needed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience supporting or implementing ERP, MES, or similar business systems within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, including production, inventory, BOMs, routings, purchasing, shipping, receiving, and quality.
- Experience translating business needs into system requirements, workflows, reports, and process improvements.
- Strong troubleshooting ability across system configuration, data, access, integrations, processes, and user issues.
- Experience with master data, system testing, user support, training, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with SQL, Excel, reporting, data validation, and imports/exports.
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to prioritize urgent production issues and work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Plex MES, including implementation, configuration, reporting, master data, or post-go-live support.
- Experience supporting shop-floor technology such as scanners, label printers, and production workstations.
- Exposure to APIs, system integrations, Salesforce, Asana, Power BI, or related business applications.
- Background in aerospace, technical films, converting, coating, laminating, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of change control, data governance, and role-based security.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
