Our client, a high-end jewelry retailer with multiple locations, is seeking a creative, hands-on Social Media Manager to grow its online presence and bring its brand to life through engaging content.
This role combines social media strategy, photography, video production, and community engagement. You’ll own day-to-day social media activity, develop campaigns that showcase fine jewelry, and collaborate with the marketing team to create a consistent brand experience across digital channels and retail locations. You should be comfortable both behind the camera and appearing on camera as a brand representative.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute social media strategies that reflect the company’s brand identity and marketing goals.
- Create, capture, and edit compelling photo and video content, along with engaging captions and social media posts.
- Manage daily publishing and maintain content calendars around product features, seasonal campaigns, key shopping occasions, and relevant trends.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to select jewelry and products for content shoots.
- Engage with followers, respond to questions promptly, and build relationships within the brand’s online community.
- Track campaign and channel performance, prepare monthly reports, and use insights to improve content and engagement.
- Coordinate social content with website, email marketing, and in-store initiatives.
- Appear in photo and video content as needed to showcase products and represent the brand.
- Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and emerging opportunities to reach new audiences.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience planning and managing social media content in a corporate or agency setting
- Experience running TikTok & Instagram for a brand, optimizing content and reporting on performance
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with an eye for visual storytelling and brand consistency.
- Hands-on experience creating photo and video content using DSLR and smartphone cameras, along with relevant editing tools.
- Experience with social media management platforms, analytics tools, and performance reporting.
- An understanding of retail operations and jewelry products.
- Experience developing campaigns and creative assets, translating data into actionable insights, and handling public-facing communications.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple campaigns and deadlines.
- A creative, collaborative approach and the ability to take direction and incorporate feedback.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Comfort appearing on camera and representing a luxury brand.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and early evenings.
