Estimator
Location: West Bridgewater, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Hybrid – Onsite Tuesday & Thursday | 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, flexible hours
Pay: $44/hour
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to support construction and project teams with estimating, budgeting, bidding, and proposal development. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing construction plans and specifications, preparing cost estimates, evaluating vendor and subcontractor bids, and collaborating with project stakeholders.
Experience within MEP, mechanical, or plumbing construction is highly preferred, although candidates with 3–5+ years of broader construction estimating experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, blueprints, specifications, and other technical documentation.
- Prepare detailed estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and project timelines.
- Conduct site visits to gather project information and understand client requirements.
- Solicit, review, and compare bids from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Develop project budgets, proposals, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project requirements.
- Maintain organized estimating documentation, pricing information, and project files.
- Follow up with clients regarding proposals, budgets, and project updates.
- Assist the construction and project teams throughout the estimating and preconstruction process.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of construction estimating or related experience preferred.
- MEP, mechanical, and/or plumbing estimating experience highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Experience with construction takeoffs, budgeting, bidding, and cost estimating.
- Procore experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and/or estimating software.
- Strong mathematical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Reliable vehicle and phone required for site visits.
