Position Overview

We are seeking an organized and dependable Inbound Operations Coordinator to support daily warehouse, receiving, and inventory operations within a busy distribution center. This position will coordinate high-volume inbound shipments, maintain accurate inventory records, and help direct temporary warehouse staff during receiving activities.

The ideal candidate has previous warehouse, receiving, or inventory control experience along with strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and ERP/WMS systems. Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily inbound receiving activities, including high-volume freight and container shipments.
  • Direct workflow for approximately 4–6 temporary warehouse employees during unloading, receiving, inventory organization, and related activities.
  • Verify incoming products and ensure shipments are properly documented, staged, organized, and put away.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, bin locations, transfers, and receiving transactions within the ERP/WMS system.
  • Organize primary and overflow inventory locations to maximize warehouse space and maintain efficient product flow.
  • Perform weekly inventory counts and scheduled full cycle counts.
  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies and prepare supporting inventory adjustment documentation.
  • Replenish pick locations from overstock and overflow areas while following FIFO procedures.
  • Conduct inventory spot checks and assist with annual physical inventory audits.
  • Monitor inbound shipment schedules and quickly respond to changes, delays, or operational issues.
  • Assist with general warehouse and shipping operations as needed.
  • Support process improvement initiatives related to receiving, inventory accuracy, and warehouse efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe, organized warehouse environment and follow all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of inbound receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred; 3+ years is ideal.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and general computer systems.
  • Experience using an ERP or WMS system for receiving and inventory transactions required.
  • NetSuite experience is a strong plus.
  • Previous experience coordinating warehouse workflow, directing temporary employees, or serving as a lead is preferred.
  • Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with warehouse and operations teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
