Fortinet Implementation Documentation Engineer
Location: North Attleborough, MA (some remote flexibility)
Schedule: 40 hours/week
Duration: 2-3 month project-1-3 year contract
Pay: $50-$60/hour
Responsibilities
- Help deploy Fortinet firewalls and network security systems
- Assist with FortiGate setup, configuration, testing, and installation
- Document network configurations, firewall settings, VPNs, VLANs, and IP addresses
- Create network diagrams, installation guides, and troubleshooting documentation
- Track deployments, system changes, and project progress
- Perform pre-deployment and post-deployment testing
- Work with senior engineers and client IT teams
- Train client IT staff and assist with knowledge transfer
- Keep all project documentation accurate and up to date
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with network or security deployments
- Experience working with Fortinet/FortiGate products
- Understanding of networking basics such as TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and VPNs
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Experience creating network diagrams and technical documentation
- Ability to understand and document firewall and network configurations
- Good communication skills and ability to work with technical teams
- Able to work onsite in Massachusetts when needed
Preferred Certifications
- Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP)
- Fortinet NSE 4
- Cisco CCNA or similar networking certification
