We are looking for an APC / Power Infrastructure Implementation resource to support the High School network infrastructure deployment.

This role will focus on installation, configuration, validation, and documentation of UPS, PDU, environmental monitoring, and battery monitoring infrastructure across the project’s MDF, IDF rooms, Maintenance Building, and related network spaces. The work supports a larger Fortinet network deployment and will require coordination with network engineers, electrical contractors, construction teams, and the Owner’s technology staff.

The project includes APC AP7911B PDUs or approved equals, APC SRT5KRMXLT UPS packages or approved equals, SRT5KRMTF transformers, rack rail kits, AP9641 management cards, AP9335TH temperature/humidity sensors, and APC/Eaton battery monitoring components.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Rack and install UPS and PDU equipment in MDF, IDF, and Maintenance Building network rooms.
  • Support deployment of APC SRT-series UPS systems, transformers, rail kits, management cards, environmental sensors, and PDUs.
  • Configure UPS/PDU network management interfaces, including IP addressing, alerting, and monitoring integration.
  • Validate UPS runtime assumptions, PDU load distribution, redundant power connections, battery status, environmental sensor readings, and monitoring alerts.
  • Coordinate rack-level power connections with Fortinet switch installation, cable management, labeling, and power-path documentation.
  • Support APC or Eaton battery management system deployment, alarm notification setup, dashboard onboarding, and baseline battery-health verification.
  • Document serial numbers, rack locations, circuit assignments, power connections, management IPs, warranty terms, sensor locations, and monitoring configuration.
  • Support testing, issue resolution, vendor escalation, warranty coordination, closeout documentation, training materials, and knowledge-transfer activities.

Ideal candidates should have experience with APC, Schneider Electric, Eaton, Vertiv, or comparable UPS/PDU infrastructure. Experience in MDF/IDF rooms, network closets, data center environments, rack-mounted UPS systems, PDUs, network management cards, environmental sensors, SNMP/email/syslog alerting, and infrastructure closeout documentation would be a strong fit.
