Position: IT Manager
Location- Columbia CT (On site)
Salary-$80,000-$88,000

The IT Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation, support, security, and reliability of the site’s IT environment. This position supports both office and manufacturing operations and works closely with employees, management, vendors, and corporate IT leadership.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Manage and support the site’s network, servers, workstations, printers, wireless infrastructure, and other IT equipment.
 
Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and user issues.
 
Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, Group Policy, and related systems.
 
Support the company’s ERP and manufacturing applications, including Visual ERP and other business-critical systems.
 
Maintain cybersecurity controls, endpoint protection, patching, backups, access controls, and security policies.
 
Monitor backups and assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
 
Support manufacturing-floor technology, including shop-floor computers, network-connected equipment, scanners, and related systems.
 
Manage new employee IT setup, equipment deployment, account provisioning, and employee departures.
 
Maintain IT documentation, asset inventory, licensing, procedures, and system configurations.
 
Coordinate with outside vendors, MSPs, software providers, and equipment manufacturers when necessary.
 
Assist with IT projects, system upgrades, implementations, integrations, and process improvements.
 
Help identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology, automation, data, and AI.
 
Ensure IT practices support company cybersecurity, customer, aerospace, and compliance requirements.
 
Escalate significant risks, outages, security concerns, and infrastructure needs to the Director of Information Technology.
 
Ideal Candidate
A hands-on IT professional who is comfortable managing a manufacturing-site IT environment while still being willing to troubleshoot an employee’s computer, work on a server or network issue, support an ERP application, and participate in larger technology projects. Strong communication, troubleshooting, organization, and customer-service skills are essential.
