Medical Receptionist ($20-22/hour)

Eye care clinic hiring for receptionist.
Type: temp to hire

Schedule:
Monday, Thursday 8AM – 4:30PM
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 9AM – 5PM

Requirements: 

• 1-2+ years of Medical Reception experience
• EMR experience needed (any system)
• Knowledge of insurance verification and collecting co-pays

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors
• Answer phones and respond to inquiries in a compassionate and professional manner
• Schedule patient appointments
• Verify insurance eligibility and acceptance
• Type various correspondence, reports, and letters
• Mail and/or fax doctors’ letters and/or chart notes to other physician offices
• Collect co-payments
• Prepare patient charts for the following day
• Scan any paper patient records into EMR software
• Keep inventory of supplies and order supplies as needed
