Position Summary
The Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the organization’s procurement strategy, supplier relationships, sourcing activities, and purchasing operations. This role will develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate contracts and pricing, manage supplier performance and risk, and identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality, service, and business continuity.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and analytical procurement professional with strong negotiation skills, extensive supplier-management experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with Finance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Legal, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Lead sourcing initiatives, including supplier identification, qualification, competitive bidding, negotiations, and selection.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, service levels, warranties, and other commercial agreements.
- Manage and develop strategic supplier relationships and maintain strong supplier performance.
- Establish and monitor supplier KPIs covering cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness, and compliance.
- Identify and implement cost-reduction, value-engineering, and process-improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain category strategies, spend analyses, and procurement plans.
- Lead contract management and ensure compliance with procurement policies and contractual requirements.
- Assess and mitigate supplier, supply-chain, financial, geopolitical, and operational risks.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop effective procurement solutions.
- Lead or mentor procurement professionals and contribute to the development of procurement capabilities.
- Establish procurement policies, procedures, controls, and best practices.
- Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, supplier capacity, and industry developments to support sourcing decisions.
- Monitor procurement budgets, forecasts, and savings initiatives.
- Ensure appropriate purchasing controls and documentation are maintained.
- Support supplier audits, quality initiatives, and corrective-action programs as needed.
- Drive digital transformation and continuous improvement within procurement processes and systems.
- Prepare procurement reports, dashboards, savings analyses, and recommendations for senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Finance, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive procurement or strategic sourcing experience, with demonstrated leadership responsibility.
- Strong experience with strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings and operational improvements.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply-chain principles, and commercial contracting.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working with ERP and/or procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong data-analysis capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as CPSM, CIPS, CSCP, or similar.
- Experience managing complex or global supplier networks.
- Experience with procurement transformation, automation, or source-to-pay initiatives.
- Experience managing and developing procurement teams.
- Industry experience relevant to the organization’s products, services, or supply chain.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $85,000 – $95,000, depending on experience and qualifications
Bonus: No Bonus
