Job Title: Manual Machinist
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: First Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay: Fixed based on experience; no flexibility beyond the established range
We are seeking a dependable Manual Machinist to join our manufacturing team on first shift. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on machining experience—or a mechanically inclined candidate with relevant shop exposure—who wants to develop their skills in a stable, full-time role.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating manual machine tools, particularly horizontal lathes and milling machines. CNC machining experience is welcome but is not required for this position. We are open to training the right individual who has a strong mechanical aptitude, a solid work ethic, and basic familiarity with manual lathes or milling equipment.
Responsibilities
Operate manual machining equipment, including horizontal lathes and milling machines
Set up, adjust, and run manual machines to produce parts according to specifications
Read and interpret basic blueprints, work orders, and dimensional requirements
Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges to inspect finished parts
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Follow established quality, safety, and production procedures
Perform basic machine maintenance and report equipment concerns as needed
Learn company-specific processes, tooling, and production requirements through on-the-job training
Qualifications
Prior experience as a manual machinist, machine operator, manufacturing laborer, or mechanically inclined production employee preferred
Exposure to manual lathes is required; experience with horizontal lathes is strongly preferred
Experience with manual mills is a plus
CNC machining experience is a plus, but not required
Ability to read a tape measure and use basic precision measuring instruments
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machining processes
Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and maintain attention to detail
Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety
Candidates with extensive, high-level CNC or turnkey machining backgrounds may be overqualified for this training-oriented position

Hours: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
One shift only; no rotating or overnight schedule
Two paid breaks per day
30-minute unpaid lunch
Training provided for candidates with the right foundational machining exposure and mechanical ability
