Medical Assistant

Hours:
- Monday – Friday 8:00a – 5:30p
Responsibilities:
- Greet adult and pediatric patients, measure and record vital signs (including manual blood pressure), and complete patient intake using Epic EMR
- Manage high-volume daily scheduling, confirm patient appointments, and handle administrative communications for adult and pediatric psychiatry services
- Process prior authorizations and medication coverage requests efficiently to avoid treatment delays
- Coordinate front-desk and clerical operations, including patient check-in/out, phone triage, and medical records management
- Support clinical workflows and provider schedules while managing dynamic needs in a fast-paced behavioral health setting
- Assist with basic point-of-care testing (POCT) and diagnostic procedures as directed by providers
- Maintain strict confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with healthcare safety guidelines under HIPAA and practice protocols
Qualifications:
- Medical Assisting certification
- Proficiency in manual BP, EKG, and POCT
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- High-volume clinical experience
Compensation:
- $20-25/hr
