Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter to join our team in restoration and reconstruction environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across multiple areas of residential and commercial construction and can confidently move between structural framing, drywall installation, and finish carpentry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform carpentry work in restoration, reconstruction, renovation, and new construction environments.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and construction drawings.
  • Complete structural and non-structural framing, including walls, floors, roofs, and other wood-framed components.
  • Install and repair drywall, including measuring, cutting, hanging, and preparing surfaces for finishing.
  • Perform finish carpentry, including trim, doors, baseboards, molding, and other detail-oriented installations.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install materials accurately using hand and power tools.
  • Assess damaged structures and assist with demolition, repair, and reconstruction as needed.
  • Work closely with project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and other trades to keep projects on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following applicable building codes and safety requirements.
  • Identify construction issues and recommend practical solutions to ensure quality workmanship.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a carpenter in restoration, reconstruction, remodeling, or general construction.
  • Experience with multiple construction disciplines, including framing, drywall, and finish carpentry.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and construction practices.
  • Proficiency with common hand and power tools.
  • Strong measuring, layout, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively with a construction crew.
  • Ability to work in changing environments and respond to project-specific challenges.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
