Heat Treat Operator
Schedule: 7:00AM – 3:30PM
Pay: $17–$30/hour
We’re hiring a Heat Treat Operator for a 1st shift opportunity in a collet and bushing manufacturing environment. This hands-on role is responsible for operating heat treat equipment, quenching parts, checking hardness/specs, and supporting sand blasting as needed, while helping maintain a safe, clean, and efficient production area.
What you’ll do
Operate heat treat ovens, draw ovens, and quench tanks.
Heat treat parts to required hardness specifications.
Load and unload racks or baskets of parts for processing.
Inspect finished product using tools such as verniers and Rockwell hardness testers.
Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Help reduce scrap, rework, and downtime while meeting production goals.
Assist with sand blasting responsibilities as needed.
What we’re looking for
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Manufacturing experience is helpful, but candidates with strong hands-on ability and mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply; the source document targets one to three months of related experience or training.
Ability to read work instructions and follow written and verbal directions.
Basic math, measurement, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail, dependability, and safety awareness.
Work environment
Air conditioned shop
Loud manufacturing environment with regular exposure to heat.
Role requires standing and walking for much of the shift, handling parts and equipment, and using close vision and depth perception to inspect parts and safely move material.
