Shipper – Receiver

Job Summary:
The Shipper Receiver is primarily responsible for the packaging and preparation of products for shipment. They would be using panel and circular saws to cut plywood and 2×4’s to size and then using a nailgun to put crates together. They would also be learning how to ship smaller items by UPS or FeDex.
Additional tasks may cross train in to Receiving within this department.
- Receiving:
- Unload and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify and record received items against purchase orders.
- Organize and store received goods in designated areas.
- Picking:
- Accurately pick items from stock based on order specifications.
- Use scanners and inventory management systems to track items.
- Ensure picked items are correctly labelled
- Shipping:
- Prepare and pack orders for shipment, ensuring proper labelling and documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely dispatch.
- Maintain records of outgoing shipments and update inventory systems.
- General Duties:
- Operate warehouse equipment such as, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
